A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University for a dynamic, highly motivated postdoctoral research associate in the lab of Dr. Benita Sjogren. This is a position in a recently established lab using a multidisciplinary approach to study aspects of Regulator of G Protein Signaling (RGS) protein biology.
Responsibilities: Areas of research will include: i) Studies of how RGS protein levels are regulated and ii) their role in pathophysiology with special emphasis on the CNS. Additional opportunities include exploring the approaches to target these proteins in early drug discovery efforts. The lab uses a wide range of approaches, including molecular biology, biochemical and cell based high-throughput assays and protein biochemistry.
Please submit a statement of interest and curriculum vitae including name and contact details for three referees to: Dr. Benita Sjogren at firstname.lastname@example.org. The search will commence immediately and continue until a suitable candidate is identified.
