This position is within Reynolds American Services Company—a subsidiary that provides support services, including compliance, HR, law, finance, information management, and more to all of the subsidiaries of RAI.
This position will contribute to enterprise-wide efforts to engage and inform FDA on regulatory science, with an emphasis on social and behavioral outcomes. With an expectation of strong technical expertise, this position will support Scientific & Regulatory Affairs projects and programs aligned for regulatory submissions related to new and existing products.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and apply rigorous analytic approaches to address regulatory requirements for product submissions in the areas of consumer perceptions and intentions, survey research, and population modeling to measure/predict behavioral outcomes.
Provide strong quantitative statistical expertise in collaboration with existing departmental scientific expertise to address regulatory research objectives.
Assist in the development of analytic plans that support enterprise-wide regulatory needs.
Support, develop, and execute statistical analyses of existing internal and external datasets that support regulatory submissions for current and future products.
Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in statistics, biostatistics, or related field required.
Minimum 2 years of applied statistical experience.
Expertise to provide broad statistical support across a wide range of behavioral outcomes;
Ability to contribute to project decisions in the areas of pre-study planning, protocol development, sample size/power calculations, statistical analysis plan preparation, and data quality;
Understanding of advanced statistical methods and ability to apply complex and innovative statistical approaches (e.g., multivariate analysis, complex weighting, imputation, modeling and simulation);
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in peer-reviewed publications and scientific conference presentations;
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
Ability to plan work and meet deadlines; and,
Broad understanding of the tobacco category.
Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative study analytic methods;
Experience working in SAS, STATA, and/or SPSS;
Experience in data requirements for regulatory submissions; and,
Experience in survey design and psychometrics testing.
