Provide expertise in developing our immunotechnology for targeted therapies for type-1 diabetes and celiac disease and assist in the development and execution a proprietary antibody and protein engineering platform. Responsibilities include participating in several aspects of lead molecules to support pre-clinical investigations and address the following: develop and execute analytical methods for protein purification, process development, protein characterization, and pre-formulation; design and execute bench-scale experiments; responsible for tech transfer and scale-up protein purification processes internally and to CMO facilities; perform recombinant protein/antibody workflow, including expression in bacterial and mammalian cell systems, and associated purification procedures; assist with various biochemical and immunological assays, including HPLC, ELISAs, and flow cytometry; and generate and manage data reports, maintain batch inventories and databases.
Must have MS in biochemistry or related scientific field and 2 years of lab experience performing biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology laboratory procedures and assays, including at least 1 year of industry experience. Experience must include recombinant protein purification process development and optimization; FPLC-based protein purification using a variety of methods, including metal affinity, ion exchange, SEC, and HIC; protein analytical methods, including HPLC, spectrophotometry, ELISA, enzymatic assays, SDS-PAGE, and western blot; and recombinant protein expression in mammalian and bacterial cell systems. We will also accept a BS and 5 years of lab experience in the stated areas, including at least 2 years of industry experience.
