Nova Southeastern University (NSU), a private university experiencing great momentum in research, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
Admitting its charter class in 1987, NSU College of Pharmacy (College) currently has an enrollment of nearly 1000 professional and graduate students and offers the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Science degrees. The College has 77 full time faculty and 44 staff across three departments: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy Practice, and Sociobehavioral and Administrative Pharmacy. In addition to the Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus, the College has students at regional campuses in Miami, Palm Beach, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The College is the only program in the U.S. to operate a full-service community pharmacy and institutional pharmacy. The College has a diverse faculty and student body, ranking 1st for Hispanic and 14th for African-American students earning the Pharm.D. degree.
Candidates must have a Pharm.D. and/or Ph.D. and be eligible for a faculty appointment at the rank of Professor. The successful candidate will have a sustained and successful track record of senior leadership and administrative experience gained within a college of pharmacy. Exceptional communication skills, financial acumen, and fundraising abilities are essential, as is a demonstrated understanding of current and future trends in pharmacy practice and education.
NSU consists of 18 colleges and schools, offering professional degrees in several disciplines including osteopathic medicine, allopathic medicine, allied health, dentary, optometry, and nursing.
