The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCLA, Division of Anatomic Pathology, is seeking an outstanding faculty member to serve in the section of renal pathology. AP or AP/CP board certification is essential and renal fellowship training is strongly preferred. The appointment would be at the level of Assistant, Associate or Professor, commensurate with experience. Prior independent sign out experience and a successful record of resident teaching, productive research collaborations or independent research activities is a plus.
The candidate will be responsible for signing out cases on the medical renal pathology service and general intraoperative frozen sections, as well as general surgical pathology or another sub-specialty area in surgical or anatomic pathology, based on the candidate's interest and experience. UCLA has a busy and active medical renal pathology service, and the candidate would be a member of a team of pathologists who cover the medical renal service. The candidate will share responsibility for training residents and fellows. Creative contributions in clinical, educational or research projects is expected. UCLA offers a highly collaborative research environment that promotes interactions among faculty in the School of Medicine. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
