The Senior Director of Data & Analytics will be a critical member of the executive leadership team reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Tenet Healthcare. The Senior Director of Data & Analytics will be responsible for setting and executing current and long-term goals for enterprise data management, predictive analytics and BI reporting, in collaboration with senior management across the enterprise.
The Senior Director of Data & Analytics will have direct budget accountability over $10M, as well as oversee a team of headquarter FTEs and third-party support. She/he will be responsible for defining and executing Data & Analytics strategies in a dynamic environment and in support of Tenet Healthcare programs and operations.
FUNCTIONAL EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
The Senior Director of Data & Analytics will collaborate with business leaders to enhance data strategy in support of enterprise goals, develop predictive analytics capabilities and enable self-service reporting through technology implementation, best practices and training. Key responsibilities include:
Maximizes Data Quality and Data Warehousing: Creates and implements a roadmap to capture the right type of data, ensure consistency and integration to support business needs.
Masters Business Intelligence Delivery: Establishes an architecture and a collection of integrated decision-support tools ï¿½ providing the business community easy access to insights.
Pioneers Application of New Technology: Effectively deploys data lake, cloud computing, data science etc. to develop new applications that improve the business.
Develops a Strategy for Unstructured and Big Data: Takes inventory of unstructured data, determines its potential use case and what should ï¿½ and shouldnï¿½t ï¿½ be captured.
Supports Data & Analytics Governance: Partners with Performance Analytics leadership and business leaders to ensure effective management and aligned roadmap for information assets.
Oversees standards and budget: Establishes data and analytics standards and has responsibility for data management budget and initiatives, in collaboration with Performance Analytics leader.
Maintains Security and Privacy: Determines and enforces specific security and privacy requirements for each piece of data.
Performs other related duties as assigned and modified at leaderï¿½s discretion.
Global Team and offshore: Leads and increases the global footprint to create efficiencies and improvements.
Identifies opportunities to partner and leverage external capabilities through contracting and supplier relationship management.

Seven or more years of progressively relevant experience in data management and analytics.
Demonstrated management experience.

Education/Certifications Bachelorï¿½s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent is required. A Masterï¿½s Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
