Position Description: The Department of Health & Human Performance (HHP) at Cleveland State University is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor starting August 22, 2022. Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses: exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, training and conditioning, physiology of aging, pathophysiology, and research methods via traditional classroom settings and/or web-based courses. Research activities may include assisting on grants and Thesis projects in the Human Performance Laboratory. Some service may be required at the program and college level.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Exercise Physiology or related field. Applicants who are ABD will be considered but will be hired at the rank of Instructor if Ph.D. is not completed by July 1, 2022.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to student-centered candidates who also have teaching experience in exercise science related courses at the college level in both classroom and online delivery systems, ACSM or NSCA certifications, relevant industry experience, a record of scholarly achievements, and the ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.
