Position Summary
SIGN ON BONUS INCLUDED
This position is responsible for managing daily operations of the East Valley Inpatient Pharmacy, associated clinics, and departments serviced by the Inpatient Pharmacy. Directly manages inpatient pharmacy supervisors, pharmacists, technicians, interns, and students while being responsible for human resource management functions of direct reports. As a leader within the pharmacy, this individual is responsible for working with other pharmacy leaders to prioritize, plan and appropriately allocate resources needed to meet key departmental and facility initiatives. This position reports directly to the East Valley Associate Chief Nursing officer while receiving supervision from the Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Operations and Director of Clinical Pharmacy, Education, and Research.
Education
- Bachelors Degree (BS) or Doctoral Degree (Pharm.D) in Pharmacy (Required)
- Completion of a post-graduate year 1 (PGY-1) and/or PGY-2 in pediatrics pharmacy residency program accredited by ASHP or similar experience. (Preferred)
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or other related healthcare area. (Preferred)
Experience
- Five (5) years of operations, clinical and/or administrative pharmacy practice in an acute care setting or equivalent (Required)
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in acute care, advanced practice training or equivalent (Required)
- Previous experience in Pediatrics or equivalent (Preferred)
- Experience with various pharmacy related technologies including automated dispensing and inventory control systems. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current licensure or eligible as a Pharmacist either by reciprocity or examination by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy. (Required)
- Current BLS or PALS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association. (Preferred)
