Post-doctoral Fellow - Computational Biochemist
A Postdoctoral Research Fellow is sought to carry out structural studies and molecular dynamics simulations of troponin, tropomyosin and myosin-motors bound to actin of cardiac muscle thin filaments. The objective is to localize and investigate potential drug binding interfaces that are poised to modulate the activity and Ca2+-based regulation of cardiac muscle contraction, and then develop small molecules that bind to these interfaces and reverse the effects of mutations leading to cardiomyopathies.  Applicants must have several years of experience using small-molecule drug discovery software, carrying out molecular dynamics simulations of complex macromolecular systems and first-rate facility with Linux operating systems, Matlab software and macromolecular visualization pro
