A postdoctoral position is available at the University of Utah (U o U) in the laboratory of Dr. Annette Fleckenstein to investigate the preclinical impact of psychostimulants on monoaminergic neurotransmission, neurotoxicity, and neuroprotection. Current projects include investigating the interactions among stimulant use, attention deficit and basal ganglia disorders.
Dr. Fleckenstein's laboratory is affiliated with the Interdepartmental Program in Neuroscience at the U of U which offers a world-class collaborative research environment and a vibrant collegial research community. The successful applicant may have the opportunity to both lecture to predoctoral students and to participate in population-based substance-use disorder research if desired.
