The Department of Pharmacology at Tulane University School of Medicine is currently recruiting for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor. Areas of preferred expertise include but are not limited to Vascular Biology, Metabolomics, and Neuroscience. 

This position is expected to maintain an independent research program in our area of expertise, get the laboratory up and running; hire experienced staff; generate data towards publishing papers as a senior author; the position requires the writing of manuscripts, submission of progress reports to funding agencies, and maintenance of laboratory records.  Also, the candidate must acquire extramural sources and expand collaboration with departmental and extra-departmental colleagues.  The candidate will be involved in teaching graduate and medical students and will be required to provide service to the department and university by serving on committees and in other capacities as needed.   Additionally, it is expected that the successful candidate will perform all functions related to their ongoing studies, including supervising students and laboratory technicians.
