Asante, based in Medford, Oregon, seeks a dynamic, service-oriented executive to serve as its next Senior Physician Executive (SPE) for the system's employed medical group, Asante Physician Partners (APP). Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Operations, this is an extraordinary opportunity for a talented, energetic, strategic physician executive to elevate quality, safety, and clinical care across the system's three campuses, physician clinics, and ambulatory sites of care for a leading health care system. A Fortune/Merative 15 Top Hospital performer over the past decade, Asante serves southern Oregon through three hospitals: Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford (378-beds), Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass (125-beds), and Ashland Community Hospital in Ashland (49-beds), as well as Asante Physician Partners, and the Asante Foundation. Asante is also an active partner in Asante Health Network, a Clinically Integrated Network of 800 physicians that exists to enhance the value of health care services delivered to its communities through its partners by providing better care and better health at a lower cost. The SPE will be an instrumental part of a talented and agile leadership team and will lead by example to bring stability and consistency to APP. The SPE will serve as a strategic visionary and influential leader, overseeing all employees of the medical group, including providers, nurses, and support staff. They will demonstrate significant focus and effective leadership around physician alignment, quality outcomes, performance improvement, patient safety, high reliability, and operational performance.
The ideal candidate will be a system thinker and team player with a proven track record of aligning clinical outcomes with system priorities, while leading complex organizational changes that support an integrated enterprise. We seek a strong leader of provider groups who keeps their teams engaged and motivated, and one who knows how to manage through change. Candidates will bring experience with physician contracting and negotiations, managing behavioral issues, and driving positive changes in clinical quality. Qualified candidates will be an MD or DO with at least 10 years of clinical practice experience and five years of leadership experience in a medical group / physician practice setting.
