Children’s Wisconsin is seeking an experienced physician executive to serve as the Chief Medical Officer.  The Chief Medical Officer role is the chief administrative role of the Children's Wisconsin medical staff.  This role focuses on assuring that the delivery of patient care by the medical staff at the Milwaukee, Fox Valley and Surgicenter campuses is consistent with generally accepted performance standards and that care is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient/family centered. In addition, this role ensures that the administrative and regulatory aspects of the medical staff are accomplished.  This position shares responsibility for resolving medical staff issues with the President of the Medical Staff, Pediatrician in Chief, Surgeon in Chief and the appropriate Associate Chief Medical Officers.

Job Requirements:   A degree in Medicine, specifically Pediatrics or pediatric specialty and Board certification.  Extensive experience working with physicians and hospital administrators.  Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to present and speak publicly and negotiate with physicians, hospital administrators, and others.  Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to interact in extremely delicate, sensitive and/or complex situations, plus a high degree of judgment, initiative, tact, and persuasiveness to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the position.  Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.
